Cookies & browser storage
What stays here.
Your browser remembers your setup and local scores. You control the data saved on this device.
This page covers the game at simpledrift.com and its Base44-hosted address. Cookies are one form of browser storage. The game also uses local storage, per-tab session storage and the browser’s normal resource cache.
Your game setup and progress
Local storage keeps your control bindings, steering preferences, graphics, camera, sound, car builds, selected atmosphere, tutorial progress, favorite and recent districts, districts visited for personal goals and local best scores. It lets the game restore your choices when you return.
These game saves have no scheduled expiry in the app. They stay until you change them, clear the site’s data or your browser removes them. They are stored separately for each browser and website address, so a save on the Base44 address does not automatically move to simpledrift.com.
Temporary session information
Per-tab storage remembers whether the entry animation has played, the page to return to after sign-in, and a limited error reference for troubleshooting. The saved return path is valid for 30 minutes. Other per-tab entries normally last for the tab’s session; browser session-restore behavior may preserve them.
The error reference contains a release identifier, error category, phase, time and touch-or-pointer device category. It does not contain your account details, password or a full error log. It is not automatically uploaded.
Your browser may cache downloaded game files, models and fonts to load them more quickly. Cache lifetime is controlled by the browser and hosting settings. A cached game is not a guarantee of offline play.
Sign-in and hosting
Base44’s sign-in client stores an authentication token in local storage to keep you signed in. Its hosting and authentication services may also use cookies and related storage. Google sign-in uses Google’s account service when you choose it. Provider-controlled storage and session lifetimes depend on those services.
Read the Base44 privacy policy and, when using Google, Google’s cookie information. Simple Drift’s game code does not add advertising cookies or cross-site advertising trackers. Its local saves are not used to target advertisements.
Change or clear what is saved
Change your game preferences in Settings and your car build in the Garage. To remove local saves, use your browser’s site-data controls for the address you played on. Clearing all site data removes local progress and preferences and can sign you out. Downloaded reports remain in your device’s downloads until you remove them separately.
You can block storage through browser controls, although sign-in and remembered settings may stop working. The game has no separate storage-preference panel. A browser’s Do Not Track signal does not change how the game saves settings; it is not a control for deleting local data.
Clearing this device does not delete your account, shared scores or support requests. Those are described in Privacy & your data, including how to request deletion.
See what is stored for drivers and shared scores.
